Education: Degree in DAM from Kottakkal Ayurveda College.

      Entered into politics through KSU as Eranad Taluk President in 1968.
 
Currently holding following posts:
    - NCP State Vice President from 2003.

1. Was Kozhikode District KSU President for  2 years and became KSU State General Secretary
2.  Was Youth Congress State Secretary, State Vice President, State President.
3. Was Congress(S) State General Secretary from 1982 to 1999.
4. Was NCP State General Secretary from 1999 to 2003
5. Was coffee board member
6. Was senate member.

 Contested and elected to KLA from Peringalam in 1980 and from Edakkad in 1982.
