Entered Politics through A.I..S.F.; was A.I.S.F. Unit Secretary, Vaikom Government Boys High School; State President and All India Secretary of A.I.S.F; State Secretary A.I.S.F; served as Vice President, World Democratic Youth Federation and Head of its Asia Pacefic Commission; Became C.P.I Member at the age of 18; was Member, National Council of C.P.I. (1992-98).

Served as Union Chairman, St. Paul's College, Kalamassery, Member Kerala University Union; Syndicate Member, Cochin University of Science and Technology; Senate Member, Kerala Agriculture University; Director Board Member, K.T.D.C.

Received prizes in Elocution and Essay writings in University Youth festivals and Intercollegiate debates; Won 'Ambassador of Friendship Among World Youth' award instituted by the 'Young Communist League' of Soviet Union; also won Banner of Youth Unity, and 'Diploma' awards from World Youth Federation.

Now working as Editor, 'Trade Union Magazine' published by A.I.T.U.C; Editorial Board Member, 'World Youth' - a 5 languages publication; Member, C.P.I. State bearer of Various Trade Unions including Kerala State Transport Employees Union and all Kerala Milma Officers Federation.
